DC Young Fly is still reeling from the death of his partner Jacky Oh one month after her passing.
The Wild 'N Out star opened up about his grief, explaining that although he puts on a strong front for their kids Nova, 6, Nala, 2, and Prince'Nehemiah, 10 months, he is heartbroken behind closed doors as he continues to mourn the loss of the 33-year-old.
"God is the greatest," he told TMZ during an outing in New York City June 28. "He's granting me the strength to keep going. I gotta take care of my babies. That's the key to life. Just gotta keep going, stay prayed up and never let the tragedies and the stuff that you going through bring you down."
However, DC noted that it's "human" to show emotion during a difficult time—and he is no exception.
"I think people want to see me cry," the 31-year-old continued. "I'm just not going to record myself crying and show you I'm crying."
He added, "I cry all the time."
As for how their kids are coping with the tragic loss? "Unless you've been through that situation, you won't know," he shared. "We 'gon get through it."
DC first met Jacky at a hotel lobby in 2015, the same year he joined her on the Wild 'N Out lineup. At the time, Jacky thought the comedian was "so cute."
"I liked him," she recalled in a 2017 interview with DJ Smallz Eyes. "I was vibing with him."
Last month, Jacky was found unresponsive in a Miami hotel room. Lifesaving efforts were performed, a spokesperson for the Miami Police Department previously told E! News, but "unfortunately, she was pronounced deceased at the hospital" May 31.
She was laid to rest at a June 11 memorial service in Atlanta, with friends and family releasing doves in her honor.
"Sent you off the right way mama," DC wrote on Instagram at the time. "love u forever the kids gon be str8 and you kno GOD got us."
